# Arcaeon — licensing map (the open-core split, declared once)

**Open (MIT):** all client packages on PyPI — arcaeon-continuity, arcaeon-ledger, arcaeon-audit, arcaeon-baseline, arcaeon-compact, arcaeon-dedup, arcaeon-distill, arcaeon-meter, arcaeon-once. Each repo ships the MIT LICENSE file; copyright holder: the Arcaeon proprietor (sole proprietorship d/b/a Arcaeon). MIT grants use/modify/redistribute with attribution; it does NOT grant the Arcaeon name or trademarks.

**Proprietary (all rights reserved):** the hosted witness service server code (arcaeon-witness repo), the site (arcaeon.io content), internal orchestration/business tooling. Not licensed for redistribution.

**The rule:** clients open, service closed, name reserved. Anything new defaults to proprietary until deliberately opened.
